How to Donate Food to St. Luke’s Food Pantry

Food Pantry

During Sunday Church services: Have you ever wondered what is in the basket that is brought to the altar with the offering every Sunday morning. That basket contains items of food that parishioners bring to the Cathedral as part of their Sunday morning offering. If you would like to donate items of food, they can be placed in these baskets on Sunday morning.

On Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9 to 11 am: Volunteers are at the Food Pantry (143 Park Street at the back door to the Cathedral) every Wednesday and Thursday morning between 9 and 11 am. If you have food you want to donate, you can give it to a volunteer at those times.

Any other time: If you want to donate foods at any other time, you can leave it in the basket left at the State St. entrance to the Cathedral, the basket at the entrance to the Cathedral from the upper hallway, outside the Church Office, or outside the Food Pantry itself in the lower hall.

What food can the food pantry use: Usable donated food needs to be shelf-stable, unopened, and not past the expiration or best buy date.
