We are excited to highlight a community partner that is making a big difference!
St. Luke’s Food Pantry is receiving a generous weekly donation of local fish from the Maine Coast Fishermen’s Association’s “Fishermen Feeding Mainers” program in Brunswick. MCFA supports local fishermen while also promoting underutilized fish species. We pick up the frozen monkfish locally at Free Range Fish and Lobster on Commercial Street in Portland.
Thanks to the efforts of the caring staff at both these organizations, St. Luke’s Food Pantry can offer high-quality fish to our neighbors — a welcome change from canned tuna!
Soaring Prices: St. Luke’s Food Pantry purchases food every week from Good Shepherd Food Bank; we do get a discount, but their prices have been steadily increasing. We also buy milk weekly and the dairy has increased their prices. Please support us by donating online.
