A Letter from The Right Reverend Thomas J. Brown

Dear Cathedral Family,

Not being able to be with you last Sunday was a big loss. I’m especially sorry for those who were going to be confirmed or received. Please know that the Dean and I are working together to reschedule those important rites.

Thank you for your prayers. My experience with Covid was, thankfully, extremely mild, and I’m grateful for vaccinations and boosters, and for a full refrigerator and cupboard.

Your faithful witness to the proclamation of the gospel, your friendship with one another, and your leadership throughout our diocese continue to inspire thousands of people. I hope you will delight in the sure and certain knowledge of God’s love for you, and my ongoing respect and affection.

I look forward to being with you on Saturday morning for the ordinations, and later in the day for Portland’s Pride Parade.

Until soon and because of Jesus Christ, I am faithfully yours,
The Right Reverend Thomas J. Brown
