Make a Difference

Support. Fellowship. Outreach.

St. Luke’s is many things.

It is a community of faith that seeks and serves, celebrates and mourns, and grows together in the understanding that we are all beloved children of God, the creator and sustainer of all things.

St. Luke’s also works outside her walls to bring hope to the larger community.

Our downtown site, anchored by our historic building, is a witness to the entire city of the reconciling, healing love of God.

We are a cathedral, the seat of the Episcopal Bishop of Maine.

St. Luke’s lies close to City Hall and the center of commerce that feeds the entire State of Maine.

In this site we advocate for the rights and dignity of all persons and for the health of the earth, our common home.

It is estimated that 13,000 individuals attended worship services on Sunday mornings at the cathedral in 2014, and many thousands more attended St. Luke’s for other services, events, and activities.
