Children’s Programs

St Luke’s has been blessed with strong & engaging programs for kids for many years!

Our programs encourage children to become the joyful and faithful persons God created them to be.

We seek to transform, not merely inform.  It is our hope to raise our children in the knowledge of God’s world and to nurture a personal relationship with God and his son Jesus Christ.

Our Church Nursery—Our nursery program occurs just off the upper parish hall and focusses on creating a friendly, safe place for our youngest members (0-5) to socialize, engage in crafts and play games.  It is always staffed by at least two trained teachers.  From drop off at 9:30 to pick up after the 10:00 service we ask that only parents and staff enter the nursery.

Our k-5 program, headed by lead teacher Becky Tatro, addresses the scriptures through age appropriate storytelling, video, discussion, and craft work.

We also begin to “unpack” the liturgy through learning the prayers and rituals of “upstairs church”.   We flexibly group each Sunday depending on how many youngsters we have.  Flexibility is key as modern life does not always allow for consistent attendance.

We welcome all kids at any time during the year.  Come on down and play.
