Children’s Programs

St Luke’s has been blessed with strong & engaging programs for kids for many years!

Our programs encourage children to become the joyful and faithful persons God created them to be.

We seek to transform, not merely inform.  It is our hope to raise our children in the knowledge of God’s world and to nurture a personal relationship with God and his son Jesus Christ.
If you have questions, please contact Jonathan Radtke, the Director of Spiritual Formation at JonRadtke@cathedralofstluke.org.

Our Church Nursery—available for infants and toddlers up through age four—provides parents the opportunity to worship knowing that their young children are in a safe and nurturing place. The Nursery is open Sunday mornings starting at 9:30.  Additional times will be added for special services during the year.  No reservations are required.

Please note that there is a minimum of two caregivers in the nursery at all times. Only experienced caregivers, all of whom have received emergency training as well as the child protection training required by the Episcopal Diocese of Maine, serve in our Nursery. To learn more about our caregivers, contact our Director of Spiritual Formation.

Church School begins at 9:45 on Sunday’s for children in grades K-5.

Children will explore bible stories as well as learn about Church through age appropriate activities, play and crafts.  Children will return to the service in time to participate in the Eucharist with their families.
